How to earn Gems - Bait Base pt 2

Lets get Started!

Here is another Bait Base that's often used, a 'straight line' base with NO towers that comes with a surprize!

Note:- This will require you to have strong Troops/Gargoyles and high morale Castle Guard, as no towers will help you.

The first part of the trick here is to get your Troop combination in such a way when opponents view your base, they see the high threat troops are ANYTHING BUT GARGOYLES!

Like this!

As you can see I 'covered' my Gargoyles with lots of crappy troops like Paladins, Mortars and Pyromancers.

Next step is placing High DPS Troops in the 1st and 2nd waves of the Castle Guard.

This will make the King takes some damage and forces him to heal or shield.

After wave 2, the attacking King should have around 50-75% of his maximum health.

Then comes the Crucial Part. It all comes down to whether your 3rd waves's Gargoyles can Insta-Kill the 50-75% health King!

In my case, I have 7 Maxed Gargoyles dealing over 5000 Straight up Blunt Damage!
(As a Maxed Gargoyle deals approximately 750 Blunt Damage as I tested in my other Post.)

Usually they all die after the 3rd wave
(Yes, my posts are reich with Nazi jokes!)

Fill the 4th - 8th wave with other troops to cover for the Gargoyles.

This is usually what happens, as I rush through the 1st wave, I take like 20-30% damage.

At 2nd wave I used heal to get my health back abit to around 65%

Then at the Castle Gate, I proceed to rush it and damaging it with Sonic Blast.

After taking a few shots from the gate, 3rd wave of Gargoyles comes out and kills me.
Which leads to people using revive or retreat!

TIPS:
  • Don't extend the path as the Troop Waves will be not accurate. You want the Gargoyles to appear when the attacking King is at your Gate eating arrows.
  • Having high level Castle Gate helps, a high level gate hurts even the toughest Kings!
  • Try to get Maxed Gargoyles, they work best!
  • Don't worry if you're not getting Gems, just lower your Trophies and weaker Kings will get Baited!

How to get Gems - Bait Base

What is a Bait Base?
A Bait Base is a base design where you make your opponents think that your base is an 'almost' open base. They would try to go for an easy Trophy grab or Gold rush and get faced with much more than they expected!

As a result, your attacker will be forced to make 1 of the 2 choices, accept Defeat and move on OR use scrolls/revive and hoping to get what they came for!

There are many types and styles of Bait Bases, which I will try to cover in the future, but for now here's an example of a Bait Base.

I'd like to call this one 'The Turn of Death!'

It looks almost like an open base with a simple turn.

I fill the first wave with unsuspecting amount of Gargoyles,

And the second wave with ALL GARGOYLES which will arrive just on time while the attacking King tries to rush through all of my towers, taking critical damage.

I follow up with a Painful range wave following my 2nd wave of Gargoyles

At this point, usually 1 of  4 things happen.

1) He rush straight through the curve and dies at either Gargoyles or due to the following waves.(Might uses revive in which you earn Gems)

2) He uses an Apocalypse/Armageddon to try to kill everything to prevent Death.

3) He uses an Apocalypse/Armageddon AND dies.(Might uses revive in which you earn Gems)

4) He backs away successfully and eventually push through and defeats your Bait Base.

The Results?

Using this 'Trick', I am able to earn 0-30+ Gems through my personal experience.

Tips

  • Try to make your Bait Base look as easy and open as possible, this will increase the chances of  'baiting' an attacker to attack you.
  • Consider lowering your Trophies to get weaker opponents who will more likely to get 'baited'.
  • Make the path as short as possible, making long bases discourages people, making them aware of the 'bait'
  • Try to cover up the Gargoyles as much as possible, what I did was I covered it with Ogres and Mortars before Gargoyles are the next big threat.
  • Having high level towers and defensive waves helps.
  • Having some Gold in your storage may help attract attackers.

Looking for Translators and Reviewers

Big Job: Need Community Support!

This job is about translating scriptures and other literatures from English to as many languages. You can also help by providing the pre-launch support. We need your support to develop the sourcing platform for this. The first biggest challenge is to find quality translators in as many languages as possible. It will be a continuing exercise.

Here is things work:
1. User registers with a choice of (max 2) language(s) he/she is expert in.
2. User undergoes a series of translation tests in the language(s).
3. The work is reviewed by many dozens of users who have shown interest in the language.
4. Enough reviews give a good enough judgement about user's capability as a translator.
5. Above reviews will also give good enough judgement about the reviewer's capability as a reviewer.

Above exercise will provide us Translators and Reviewers.

Actual jobs will be carried in following fashion:
1. User will complete tasks.
2. Each task will be rated by a couple reviewers.
3. In this way each user gain skill levels (Translator & Reviewer). Better levels will mean better payouts. Low level will result into disqualification.

People who are not proficient in non-English languages will have a big take in preparing raw files to smaller tasks; and reviewing compiled outcomes. That is going to be a challenging job. We will also need people to format the translated outcome for paper and web publishing. Overall we will be busy.

Translating a paragraph may be worth 5-8 cents. Uber high quality is expected!
Reviewing a paragraph may earn you up to a cent.

We will need enough translators and reviewers to start with a language translation. Please note that the payouts will be in REAL CURRENCY (via PayPal to start with).

The official Royal Revolt 2 Alliance War FAQ

Question:

What will happen when my Alliance does not longer meet the criteria to compete in an Alliance War while the War Season is still running?

Answer:

The entrance criteria for competing in an Alliance war is to have at least 8 members. However, should you fall below this number while the Alliance War is already running, you will not be eliminated immediately. You will still be able to compete as long as you have at least 4 members. Should you fall below 4 members, your Alliance will be eliminated for this War Season and your Fiefdoms will be forfeit to other Alliances.

Question:

Which Alliances will be matched against each other?

Answer:

Stronger Alliances will be matched against other stronger ones. The relative strength of an Alliance is determined by the total number of Fiefdoms it owns.

Question:

What happens if my Alliance has less than 3 Fiefdoms? Can we still enter into another War Season?

Answer:

As long as your Alliance has at least 8 members as soon as the next season starts, you will be automatically placed into another War Season and given the required number of Fiefdoms to get back up to three.

Question:

How is the amount of Skulls that I can earn from an opponent during an Alliance War determined?

Answer:

The amount of Skulls you can earn is dependant on your Hero’s level as well as the Hero level of the King you are attacking.

Question:

Do we have to wait until the end of the War Season before the bonus of a newly conquered Fiefdom is credited? Or is the donation bonus added immediately?

Answer

All conquered Fiefdoms and the bonuses they confer will be added instantly.

Question:

What happens if there is a tie in the number of Fiefdoms conquered during a War Season?

Answer:

If Alliances conquer the same number of Fiefdoms, the number of Skulls earned throughout the entire war season will become the deciding factor. If the number of Skulls is also equal, then a tie will be declared and both Alliances will have to share the same (lower) rank.

Question:

How does the Tax Bonus work?

Answer:

The Tax Bonus grant you a percentage of free bonus gold and affects all donation types. It gets higher with more and more Fiefdoms conquered. The maximum is 30%.

Question:

I seem to earn less gold than usual when I attack an enemy that is an Alliance I am currently at war with. Why is this?

Answer:

The gold you earn from other players doesn’t come from their treasury. Instead, the game substitutes it. This results in less gold. The advantage of this is that players can be online and still be attacked. There is no hiding during an Alliance War.

Question:

What happens to the Skulls of a player that leaves an Alliance mid-season?

Answer:

Players who leave their Alliance during a war-season will loose all Skulls they have won in all running wars. All skulls, however, that have been won against them by enemy players, will be kept for the count of the enemy-Alliance.

Question:

Can players join a new Alliance mid-season and participate in their Alliance Wars?

Answer:

Players who join an Alliance during a war-season can instantly participate in all running wars of the new Alliance. However, keep in mind that the Skulls that they earned for their previous Alliance will be lost in any case.

Question:

What's the last possible chance to declare an Attack War?

Answer:

Attack Wars can only be declared if the remaining time of a War Season is more than the duration of an Attack War (roughly 24 hours). Planning ahead and timing your final attack right will be crucial.

How do Gargoyle/Blunt Damage work on Kings?

In this experiment, I'm going to test how many Gargoyles does it take to kill my King (NeverAngelic).

My King has 11,257 Health.

Gargoyles deals 1,524 Blunt Damage.

Below are my progress:

Hit by 1 Gargoyle

Hit by 2 Gargoyles

 Hit by 3 Gargoyles

Hit by 4 Gargoyles

Hit by 5 Gargoyles

 Hit by 6 Gargoyles

Hit by 7 Gargoyles

At this point I got bored because I was so tanky and DOUBLED the amount of Gargoyles! :D

Hit by 14 Gargoyles

Hit by 15 Gargoyles
Finally died

Throughout the bombardment of Gargoyles, I DID NOT REGENERATE AT ALL. I even have to run towards my 3rd wave of Gargoyles in speed boots to prevent myself from regenerating in between waves! XD

Now for the math's part,

11,257 ÷ 15 = 750.5
1524 ÷ 2 = 762

The results of 750.5 and 762 is close enough to conclude that the King's Blunt Damage Reduction is in fact at 50%.

Basically Kings take half as much damage from Blunt Damage.
